Bon Fleur

Last Thursday we hosted a lovely group of floral enthusiasts at the studio for the Bon Fleur Seminar
We spent the night mixing and mingling with old and new friends, eating french sweets, and amongst the incredibly gorgeous floral designs of Houston's own Something Special in Flowers!  Welcome to the photo recap of the event captured by the fabulous Sarah McKenzie!
Guests were greeted at the door by our vintage bicycle overflowing with lucious florals!  A taste of what was waiting inside!
We handmade booklets of floral tips and displayed them in our French market basket
Our schoolhouse chalkboard displayed an array of lovely blooms identified by name and meaning!
Floral Literature
Romantic,  full and fluffy floral designs in our white milk glass

Eclectic groupings of milk glass and cut glass with whimsical florals
Flowers in teacups, vintage goblets, and vintage bottles
Carol demonstrating the earthy/organic arrangment- our fave!  Seriously obsessed!
French croissant sandwhiches and check out that glorious succulent!
Rustic boxes and vintage hankies. Hanging birdcages creates height on a table in large rooms
The Clematis flower on the right has just started being available in cut form!  Something Special in Flowers is always on top of the latest floral!
French Macaroons provided by Petite Sweets
 Lovley guests!
Thank you to all of our guests who attended the event and a HUGE thank you to Sarah Mckenzie for photographing and Petite Sweets for providing the tasty cookies.  We plan to offer another event in the spring so check back on our bog and FB page for updates.

  1. Flower decorations and bunches are just outstanding. Not able to finalize one of the best venue NYC for my sister's engagement eve. Want to keep it sober as her wedding will of course be a grand one. Subtle and pastel shades for décor will look great. Thinking to have an Italian and continental dinner party.
